<p>PURPOSE:To certainly know brake application state by setting an elastic member between a brake operating shaft and a supporting part and confirming the amount of extension and contraction of the elastic member accompanied by the advance and retreat of the operating shaft. CONSTITUTION:An engaging projection 26 is installed in the middle part of a screw shaft 6 for transmitting a brake operating force, and a coil spring 27 is interposed between the engaging projection 26 and a nut 8 installed onto a bracket 7 fixed onto a brake caliper. When a handle 9 is operated in the direction of brake application, a revolution torque is transmitted to the screw shaft 6. The screw shaft 6 advances through revolution, and brake is applied. Then, the coil spring 27 is compressed by the advance of the screw shaft 26. When brake is released, the coil spring 27 is extended on the contrary. Therefore, the brake operation state can be certainly known by confirming the amount of extension and contraction of the coil spring 27.</p> |
