PURPOSE:To provide the titled vitamin complex free from the segregation of the active component and resistant to the degradation with time, by solidifying a tocopherol carboxylic acid ester mainly with gelatin in the form of beads, and filling the beads and fine crystals of ascorbic acid in a hard gelatin capsule in layers. CONSTITUTION:Beads of tocopherol carboxylic acid ester (e.g. alpha-d-tocopherol acetate) solidified by using gelatin as a main binder and fine crystals of ascorbic acid are filled in a hard gelatin capsule in layers to obtain the objective vitamin CE complex. The ratio of tocopherol to ascorbic acid is 1:5 to maximize the drug action as an antioxidant, and 50mg of vitamin E and 250mg of vitamin C are filled in one capsule. Preferably, vitamin C crystals are filled in the bottom of the capsule, and then, the vitamin E beads are put thereon. There is little variation of the content caused by segregation, and the change of appearance during the transportation and storage can be prevented.
