PURPOSE:To manufacture a tubular molding having a high wear resistance, a high impact resistance and a high crack resistance by a method in which a pre- preg sheet impregnated with a thermosetting resin is wound around a core metal and a wisker-mixed resin is coated on the outside of the pre-preg sheet and hardened. CONSTITUTION:A releasing agent is coated on the periphery of a core metal 1 to form a releasing agent layer 2. A pre-preg sheet 3 reinforced with glass fiber or carbon fiber impregnated with a thermosetting resin is cut into a nearly trapezoidal form and wound around the core metal 1. A thermosetting synthetic resin 7 mixed with wisker 6 is coated on the outside of the core metal by brush 8 to integrally form a wisker-concentrated layer 9 on the outermost layer of a hollow cylindrical layer 4 formed of the fiber-reinforced pre-preg sheet 3, and dried to a semi-dry state. These are subjected to taping process, baking process, drawing process and center pressing process as usual processing methods to form a tubular molding 10 for fishing rod or golf club shaft, etc. |
