PURPOSE:To attain the communication service in the unit of users by allowing an individual to carry a portable storage device in which an identification number of the possessor and the service class are stored and reading personal information stored in the portable storage device while using an unspecific communication terminal device. CONSTITUTION:The user of a telephone set has a magnetic card, on which the identification number (ID number) of the possessor and the service class are stored magnetically. In inserting the own magnetic card 1-3 to a magnetic card reader 1-4, the reader 1-4 reads the identification number and the service class from the magnetic card, converts it into an electric signal, a controller 1-13 stores it to a storage device 1-14 as the user information and the information is kept while the magnetic card is inserted. The controller 1-13 reads as required the personal information stored in the storage device, and transfers it as required to a controller of a communication network such as an exchange to offer the service for the possessor of the magnetic card or a permitted service.
