PURPOSE:To have good fixability even under low pressure and to prevent staining and melt sticking to the surface of a developing sleeve, photosensitive body, carrier, etc. by using a crosslinked polymer of a vinyl monomer by an in-situ polymn. method as a material for constituting the shell of a capsule toner. CONSTITUTION:A crosslinked polymer of a vinyl monomer obtd. by an in situ polymn. method is incorporated into the shell of a capsule toner constituted of a core material contg. a pressure-fixing component and the shell covering at least a part of said core material. The toner having such crosslinked polymer on the shell has good durability as a developer and obviates melt sticking to the surface of a carrier, developing sleeve and photosensitive body. The toner has good charge controllability and yields the sharp image having no photographic fog. The toner has stable developing performance and a long life in spite of copying of many sheets. The toner has further a high shelf life without flocculation or caking during storage. Excellent characteristics are exhibited even if the toner is made into a one-component type magnetic toner. |
