发明名称 FIBER-REINFORCED EXPANSIVE-GRAPHITE GASKET AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve a recovery characteristic against compression and the folding strength of a gasket and ensure its heat resistance or the like, by forming a fiber- state metal-reinforcing material, having a suitable size, and a binding agent, which are dispesedly interposed between particles of expansive graphite, by pressure molding so as to manufacture the desired gasket. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacturing method of a gasket material obtained by compressing expansive graphite to a desired thickness and shape, a desired gasket is obtained by forming a fiber-state metal-reinforcing material, having a suitable size, and a binding agent, which are dispersedly interposed between particles of the expansive graphite, by pressure molding. And after the metal-reinforcing material is previously coated with at least a part of the binding agent, said metal-reinforcing material and the rest of the binding agent are dispersedly interposed in the expansive graphite. While the gasket is formed by compression molding by containing one or more sheets of reinforcing plates, having a shape equal to the gasket, in the expansive graphite dispersing the metal-reinforcing material to be interposed. In this way, a product can be obtained enabling its recovery characteristic against compression and its folding strength to be improved while eliminating the worsening of heat resistance further reducing the price.
