<p>PURPOSE:To prevent heat from entering a leaked liquid through its free surface and restrict the generating quantity of vaporized gas by placing a floating cover, which is made by combining a buoyancy material with a heat insulating material, in a liquid prevention bank surrounding an on-the-ground low-temp. liquefied gas tank. CONSTITUTION:A floating cover 6 is placed over the earth floor in a liquid prevention bank 5, so as to cover the plane area which is not occupied by a tank 4, over a scope as wide as possible. This floating cover 6 is constructed with a light-weight insulating material 7 such as foaming polyurethane, etc. combined with a thin steel plate buoyant box 8 for providing required buoyancy and rigidity.</p> |
