PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a thin battery greatly without complicating the process of manufacturing the battery by placing two cellophane sheets containing almost no plasticizers one upon another to separate the positive electrode from the negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:A separator 40 is formed by placing two cellophane sheets 46 and 46 one upon antoher before the thus prepared material is stamped into a given shape. It contains almost no plasticizers such as gylcerol. As a result, there is almost no possibility that the function of manganese dioxide as a positive active material is deteriorated by the separator 40. Accordingly, stable performance of the battery can be maintained even when it is stored under the condition of high temperature over a long period of time. |
