PURPOSE:To enable formation of a printing plate relief having good compatibility between constituent resins and various kinds of hardness, and to enhance plate making speed, by using a combination of a water-soluble resin, a specified photopolymerizable polyglycerin compd., and a photopolymn. initiator. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive resin compsn. is composed essentially of a water-soluble resin, a photopolymerizable polyglycerin compd. obtained by reacting a low-mol.wt. compd. having a photopolymerizable ethylenic double bond with the hydroxyl groups of glycerin to form ester or ether bonds, and a photopolymn. initiator. As said water-soluble resin, PVA and its derives., polyvinyl ether, hydroxyalkyl cellulose, (alkyl is methyl, ethyl, or propyl), water-soluble alkyd resins, polyethylene oxide, polypyrrolidone, polyacrylic acid and its sodium salt, water-soluble nylon having sulfonic acid groups, and maleic acid copolymer are used alone or in combination. As the low-mol.wt. compd. having a photopolymerizable ethylenic double bond, one of (meth)acrylic acids and their functional derives., such as N-alkylol(meth)acrylamine, is used. |
