PURPOSE:To enable to operate a compressor by quickly determining the operating frequency optimum to the air conditioning load by a method wherein a frequency signal given to a frequency converter used for changing the rotational frequency of the compressor is allowed to change in accordance with the zones formed by dividing the difference between room temperature and set temperature. CONSTITUTION:The rotational frequency of a compressor motor 12 can be changed by continuously changing output frequency by means of a frequency converter 11. A control device 13 consists mainly of a microcomputer so as to output a frequency setting signal, which is calculated from the difference between the room temperature detected by a room temperature sensor 15 and the set temperature value set at a temperature setter and the timer hour counted in the microcomputer. Concretely, when the temperature shifts from one zone, which is one of a plurality of zones formed by dividing the difference between room temperature and set temperature, to another zone, the magnitude of air conditioning load is judged from the duration of staying of the room temperature in the previous zone in order to determine the operating frequency of a compressor so as to quickly reach the set temperature of the following zone. |
