In the case of a device for pressing meat products having at least one container (1) which accommodates the meat products and one ram (8) which can be inserted into the said container (1) by the action of a lifting assembly (16, 17), an excellent degree of economy can be achieved in that a stationary pressing station (12) is provided which has the lifting assembly (16, 17) and a fixed counter-holding device (15) assigned to the latter and can be loaded with alternate inserts which can be inserted between the lifting assembly and the counter-holding device and take the form of a container (1) which is completed with an assigned ram (8) and can, once the desired pressure has been reached, be locked with respect to the assigned ram (8) in the position of the latter which corresponds to this pressure. <IMAGE>
