A method for the contactless, emittance-independent radiometry of the temperature of objects is provided, in which method the respective object assumes two, three or more different temperatures (or is brought to two or more temperatures or comes to the latter itself), and radiation measurements of the radiation emanating from the object are carried out in each case in four or more spectral regions in the infrared and/or visible wavelength region, and these measured values are used to determine exactly, or even in the compensating fashion, the respective object temperatures as well as, likewise, all the remaining unknown variables (spectral emittance of the object, environmental temperature, etc).
