PURPOSE:To provide a high-energy and inexpensive piezo-electric element unit which is simple in construction and assembly and has stable performance, by a method wherein a spacer, a piezo-electric element, and a strap metal are contained in an insulating case formed integrally with a support metal having one end surface in which a recess is formed and an outer peripheral surface on which a high-voltage terminal part is formed, and they are insulated and sealed by means of adhesives. CONSTITUTION:A unit is formed with a strap metal 11, spacers 12 which transfer impact and buffer an unnecessary pressure, a piezo-electric element 13 which generates a high voltage, and a support metal 14 which has a recess 14b in one end surface and a high voltage terminal part 14a on its outer peripheral surface. By means of the recess 14b and the high voltage terminal part 14a, the constituting parts are held and secured in a molding die, and this enables reliables support of the support metal 14 against a molding pressure and causes the support metal to be molded integrally with an insulating case 15. This enables to perform a filling work of adhesives 17 by quantitative injection, and eliminates a complicated work and management during manufacturing process, and enables provision of a high-energy and inexpensive piezo-electric element unit which is simple in both structure and assembly and is stable in performance.
