PURPOSE:To enhance driving efficiency by steplessly changing a bias fluid of means for changing a speed range by manual operation of control means and steplessly controlling the variable control range of torque transmission ratio by manual operation. CONSTITUTION:A belt type continuously variable transmission mechanism 6 has a fluid actuator 10 for changing a torque transmission ratio, which comprises cylinders 7, 8 mounted on input and output pulleys 1, 3. The discharged oil of a fluid pump 9 is supplied through pressure regulating valves 11, 13 to one cylinder 7. A signal fluid from a ratio control valve 14 for regulating the supply of pressurized oil is applied to the pressure regulating valve 13 in such a manner as to work in direction of reducing a torque transmission ratio. A car velocity signal fluid PG, a load signal fluid PT and a signal fluid PM from a position sensing valve 15 are applied to the valve 14, and the valve 15 is adapted to steplessly increase the signal fluid PM by manual operation with shifting from D-range to L- range.
