A fluidised-bed gasification reactor has an internal diameter which gradually increases from the bottom to the top and comprises a nozzle in the lower reactor section for blowing in an oxygen-containing gasifying agent, and also a distributor plate (8) above the nozzle and in the lower reactor section for injecting a gasifying agent fed through the nozzle into the fluidised bed (2), and also nozzles (9) at the middle height of the reactor for injecting feed coal together with an oxygen-containing gasifying agent into the fluidised bed (2).
