READING SYSTEM OF CONTENT OF DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT CODE

PURPOSE:To heighten the speed of respondence of the whole of program group that frequently requires the content of diagnosis and treatment codes by reducing the number of times of disk access for reading the content of diagnosis and treatment codes. CONSTITUTION:When a read-only program B3 receives a request for reading content of diagnosis and treatment code from a program group A2 or C4, the content is sent to the program that advanced the request without accessing a disk 1 if a memory 7 that stores the content read out from the disk 1 is provided and the required diagnosis and treatment code is present in the memory 7. If the memory 7 is filled and no vacant area is present when the read-only program B3 accesses the disk, a record read out in the earliest time is found out and replaced with a record read out from the disk. Accordingly, the frequency of occurrence of replacement can be minimized and the number of times of access can be held down to the minimum.
