<p>PURPOSE:To diaplay a form of a tool equal to an actual tool by producing a cuttig edge form pattern equal to an actual edge based on the input data on the tool information on a main cutting edge angle, the tool width, etc. and displaying said form pattern to a graphic display device. CONSTITUTION:The tool information on the main cutting edge angle of a tool, a secondary cutting edge angle, the tool width, the minimum inner diameter, the main shaft revolving direction, the free direction, etc. is supplied through an input part 100. Then the tool form component element data is extracted out of a memory 105 in response to said input information. The size of a cutting edge form pattern is calculated 104 from the tool width, and a linear symmetric change is give form the main revolving direction and the free direction on the basis of the cutting edge point. Then the obtained form of the cutting edge is compounded with the form of a cutting post. The form data thus obtained is displayed 107 on a screen.</p> |
