PURPOSE:To reduce thermal stress and thereby improve durability by changing a surface area of a heat exchanger fin formed on the outside wall surface of a cylinder on the high temperature working space side thereof such that it is made larger on the downstream side of a heating medium. CONSTITUTION:A first cylinder 1 made of heat resistant metal and closed in its one end and a second cylinder 5 made of metal having good thermal conductivity are connected with each other via a floating flange 2. A first piston 7 is disposed in the both cylinders to provide a high temperature working space 22 and a low temperature working space 23, while a second piston 18 is disposed for deriving power. A heat absorbing fin 1a is provided on the circumference of a drum of an outside wall part of the first cylinder 1 in a longitudinal direction thereof. A heat exchanging area of the heat absorbing fin 1a is longitudinally increased from the side of the fin near a heating device 25 to the downstream side to make wall temperature of the first cylinder 1 substantially uniform. |
