PURPOSE:To strengthen the pressure-contact between a lead wire and a terminal pin and prevent deformation of the terminal pin by specifying the ratio of the diameter of the hollow pressed down and formed on the terminal pin to the outer diameter of the terminal pin within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:A lead wire 10 is inserted in a through hole 9 of terminal pin 8, and a hollow 11 is formed by being pressed down from above with a punch. The hollow 11 being formed, the thickness of the terminal pin 8 is pressed down, and consequently the inner wall of the terminal pin 8 presses on the lead wire 10, bringing them into contact with each other. The ratio d/D of the diameter d(mm.) of the hollow, which is formed on the external surface of the terminal pin 8 with the punch, to the outer diameter D(mm.) of the terminal pin is specified to be 0.35 to 0.55. In this way, the contact between the terminal pin and the lead wire is made strong enough against the severe tensile stress, and furthermore the deformability of the terminal pin can be maintained at the desired level. |
