PURPOSE:To provide a desired blank to a recording medium by transferring an image of an image carrier which is formed by an image forming means onto the recording medium so that the image is shifted by specific blank size by a blank size setting means. CONSTITUTION:Blank size (a) to be given to the recording medium on which an image of an original is recorded is set in a blank size setting process so as to form the image with a blank left on a copy form, and the image of the original is reduced optically at a reduction rate m=alpha(b-a)/b on the basis of this size (a), the conveyance-directional length (b) of the recording medium, and specified magnification alpha; and a charge corresponding to the exposed image reduced in this exposure process is carried and conveyed in a charged image carrying process, and the recording medium is conveyed synchronizing with the conveyance of the charged image. Then, the blank size setting means 501 is provided to record a visible image corresponding to the charged image on the conveyed recording medium so that the image is shifted from the conveyance-directional end part of the recording medium by the blank size (a). |
