发明名称 THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain good quality printing even to a recording medium inferior to surface smoothness, by allowing a magnetic field and air sucking force to act on a laminate consisting of a thermal transfer material and a recording medium and separately applying auxiliary heating to a thermal transfer layer while further applying additional heating in a pattern form so as to reach a temp. sufficient for imparting thermal transfer property to thermal transfer ink. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium 7 is allowed to oppose to a thermal transfer layer 3 wherein liquid ink 6 containing magnetic powder is contained in the fine pores 5 of a microporous resin structure 4. A permanent magnet 8 also used as a platen, which has air sucking orifies 8a communicated with a vacuum pump and a coil 8b for heating the thermal transfer layer 3 to such a degree that thermal transfer ink shows no flowability necessary for thermal transfer, is placed to the back surface of said recording medium. Because preheating is applied, the thermal transfer ink is rapidly expanded in the pattern like additional heating part of the thermal transfer 3 by a thermal head 9 and said thermal transfer layer 3 generates the lowering interfacial tension and viscosity to be adhered to the surface of the recording medium 7 and further transferred and adhered even to the surface recessed parts of the recording medium 7 by magnetic attraction force and air sucking force from the platen. After the thermal transfer material 1 is separated, a transfer recording image having good printing quality is obtained on the recording medium 7.
