PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of doing troublesome operations by providing a battery case with a battery lid lock member, which is to lock a battery lid in linkage with a battery detection member, and a lock release member manually controllable from outside. CONSTITUTION:When inserted in a battery, a battery detectin rod 13 is pressed leftward, and accordingly a battery detection lever 7 rotates counterclockwise to make a battery lid retaining cathcer lock plate 8 slide rightward. In this way, an indicator 8c moves to a point facing a window 11c to indicate that the battery is inserted. At the same time, a portrusion 8f of the lock plate 8 and a protrusion 4d engage with each other, and therefore a battery lid release knob 6 is locked so that it can not be pressed downward. To release it, press the battery lid release knob 6 downward while pushing in a lock release knob 10 against the spring force of the battery lid retaining cathcer lock plate 8 itself. Then a protrusion 4a of a battery lid retaining catcher 4 and the protrusion on a camera side are disengaged and the battery lid is opened. |
