PURPOSE:To obtain a sintered gear having high dimensional accuracy with respect to the tips of the teeth only by sizing by forming a place from which a strain produced by sizing escapes at the tip of each tooth of a sintered body before sizing. CONSTITUTION:A metallic mold having a projection at he center of each tooth- shaped groove is prepd., and a green compact having a small recess 2 at the tip of each tooth 1 is formed by compression molding with the metallic mold. The compact is sintered and sized with a metallic mold for sizing having a regular tooth shape. Thus, a sintered gear having high dimensional accuracy with respect to the tips of the teeth is obtd.
