PURPOSE:To enable continuation of surface copying at the time of paper jam by changing over paper conveyance from feed to an inversion route to storage in an intermediate tray in a process of transferring a surface image from the first drum, and then, transferring the reverse face image on the inverted paper from the second drum to complete both side copying. CONSTITUTION:The image of an original image 15a for a surface image is transferred from the first drum 1a to a transfer paper 7a, and the paper 7a is fed to an inversion route 23 with three rollers 25. The paper 7a is taken out from the route 23 and the image of another original image 15b for a reverse face image is transferred from the second drum 1b to complete both-side copying. When paper jam occurs in the reverse face copying device, its operation is stopped, but the operation of the surface image copying device is continued, while the paper conveyance is changed over from the feed to the inversion route 23 to the storage in an intermediate tray 24, and after removing the jammed paper, the papers 7a are fed again from the tray 24 to the reverse face copying device. |
