<p>The efficient conveyance of inexpensive, very thin-walled packaging material, especially plastic foils, is a special problem in relation to packaging machines because of the low degree of firmness of these foils. In the present apparatus, the front end of a sheet of material and the blank severed from it are transported fixed continuously by means of suction air to conveying members. These consist of a suction drum and perforated belts directly adjoining this, with no interruption occurring as regards the fixing of the packaging material.</p> |
