PURPOSE:To observe the flow trace of a test waterway by preventing tracer particles from staying at a driving part, and supplying sufficient tracer particles of the test waterway. CONSTITUTION:When a circulating pump 4 is put in operation, the water at the entrance part of the 1st waterway 17 flows out to the exit part of the 1st waterway 17 through a suction opening 13, the circulating pump 4, a discharge opening 14, and a porous plate 9 and also shunted to a tracer waterway 12 formed on a separation plate 7 simultaneously to flow. Particulates of aluminum, bakelite, etc., are suspended as tracer particles A on the surface 3 of the flowing water and then the tracer particles A pass through the tracer waterway 12 without passing through the circulating pump 4 because of the operation of the separation plate 7, so they flow round continuously through the entire waterway without being settled. Consequently, the tracer particles A are distributed over the surface 3 of the flowing water, so a model is installed in the test waterway 20 wherein the flow rate is averaged through a preliminary flow waterway 19 to observe the flow trace accurately. |
