PURPOSE:To obtain an alloy having excellent resistance to corrosion and high- temp. strength in high-temp. oxidizing atmosphere with a high-Cr alloy having a specific compsn. by adjusting the content of Ti, Nb and Ta, optimizing the content of Mo and incorporating Cr to the max. extent. CONSTITUTION:A high-Cr alloy contains, by wt%, 0.005-0.08 C, <=1.0 Si, <=1.0 Mn, 25-37 Cr, 10-30 Fe, 0.5-3.0 Mo and/or W, 0.01-3 Al, contg. >=1 kind of <=0.15 Ti and <=1.0 Nb(+Ta) in which the relation of the formulas I , II holds among said C and N, Ti and Nb(+Ta) and consists of the balance Ni or Ni and Co. The alloy has excellent resistance to corrosion and high-temp. strength in corrosive environment by coal ash, etc. as a structural material to be used in combustion atmosphere of, for example, coal, etc. The substantial resistance to corrosion is exhibited even in severe corrosive environment such as sea water and waste liquid treatment.
