PURPOSE:To obtain a piezoelectric vibrator which can endure against the use in high frequency and has excellent temperature characteristic by specifying the mixing composition of a piezoelectric porcelain to be used. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric porcelain composition which contains 42.8-49.5 mol% of PbO, 48.9-52.6mol% of TiO2, 0.8-3.2mol% of Nd2O3, 0.1-1.3mol% of MoO2, and 0.2-2.5mol% of one or more of Al2O3, Ga2O3 is used. Thus, the composition which has extremely dense and excellent piezoelectric properties can be obtained, and the resonance frequency temperature coefficient of thicknesswise direction vibration can be set to zero by suitably selecting the added amount of the Al2O3 or Ga2O3. In addition, since the dielectric constant of the porcelain is small (150-300), the use of high frequency can be improved and the element having excellent temperature stability can be performed. |
