<p>PURPOSE:To make the transmission of a video signal in the narrow band possible and to suppress the deterioration of a reproducing picture to the utmost by reading in a zigzag manner the picture element data forming one picture plane. CONSTITUTION:A matrix circuit 4 forms a luminance signal Y and color difference signals R-Y and B-Y from the supplied tri-color signal respectively and supplies to an A/D converter 5. Next, a converter 5 generates the picture element data and supplies to a memory 6. The picture element data for the share of 1 field in total where the picture element data of the odd and even fields written in a memory 6 are mixed is read by every 1/4 over 4 fields. Namely, the data are read in a zigzag manner as shown by the slanting lines. The read picture data are supplied to the signal processing circuit 8. In such a way, the video signal is transmitted in a narrow band and the deterioration of the reproducig picture is suppressed to the utmost.</p> |
