PURPOSE:To prevent insufficient cleaning with certainty by absorbing vibration of a photosensitive drum and movement due to its imperfect circularity and maintaining the distance between the drum and a cleaning roll constant. CONSTITUTION:A supporting block 4 is energized counterclockwise on a supporting shaft 5 as a center by the resultant force of a coil spring 15 for energizing a pressing member 12 and a plate spring 10 at the time of copying. A tracking roll 7 is pressed into contact with the surface of a photosensitive drum 1 with a prescribed pressure, and even if there are vibration of the drum 1 and movement due to imperfect circularity, these are absorbed by the springs 15, 10. Therefore, the distance between the drum 1 and the roll 6 is always maintained constant. At the time of suspension of copying, all the housing 3 is turned clockwise around the shaft 5 by moving a toggle clamp 13 in the unclamping direction with a driving means 14, and the roll 7 is released from the surface of the drum 1.
