An insulating support for a railway rail is in the form of two synthetic rubber layers 17 and 19 separated by a steel plate 18 so that by measuring the insulation resistance of each part of the support its total resistance can be found even though other supports are in parallel. The rubber layers are vulcanized to the steel plate and to the base-plate 19 and mounting plate 15. The lower rubber layer 19 has internal vertical holes to increase the resiliency of the support. Several rubber layers and more than one intermediate member may be used. |
