PURPOSE:To increase the reaction area of a flat positive electrode active material and a two-folded negative electrode active material by arranging the negative electrode active material on both surfaces of the positive electrode active material through a separator and sheathing said negative electrode active material with the resin film provided with metal foil on its inner layer and then thermally depositing this resin film on the surface of said negative electrode active material. CONSTITUTION:Both surfaces of a positive electrode active material 3 to which a lead terminal 10 is fixed are covered with a long-distance separator 4 and a negative electrode active material 5 made of two-folded lithium is opposed to the outside. Then a flat type battery is formed by two-folding sheath-packaging material 1 made of resin film in which a negative electrode collection body 6 with a lead terminal 11 is press-contacted internally, covering the negative active material 5 from the outside, thermally depositing the peripheral section 1a of the sheath-packaging material 1, and liquid-tightly guiding the lead terminals 10 and 11 to the outside. As a result, the reaction area in which the positive electrode active material 3 and the negative electrode active material 5 face to each other can be increased and high current can be extracted in a short period of time. |
