PURPOSE:To measure a filler on unmanned basis fully automatically, securely, and continuously in safety by oscillating a container externally and detecting oscillations from the container, and measuring the filler level through at least either of its detected number of vibration and frequency. CONSTITUTION:The filler 16 from a storage vessel 1 is concentrated by a concentrator 2, passed through a supply vessel 3 and mixed in a mixing vessel 4 with slurry of glass raw material, and charged at a set speed in a canister 7 which is conveyed through a ceramic metal 6 and stopped through the nozzle 17 of the canister 7. The electromagnetic device 20 of an oscillation applying device 22 is put in operation with a control signal from a controller 27 at set timing from the start of the injection to strike a set level position 28 on the outside surface of the canister 7 with a hammer 21. Consequently, the number of vibrations and frequency of the canister 7 vary with the liquid level of the filler 16 close to the set level position 28, and their variation signal is transmitted to a spectral analyzer 26 through a cable 25 to display its spectrum on a cathode- ray tube.
