PORTABLE RADIO EQUIPMENT FOR RECEPTION OF 2-BRANCH DIVERSITY

PURPOSE:To attain reception of an incoming signal in a store mode of the titled radio equipment with a compact and light weight structure, by discriminating two antennas for an external antenna and a built-in antenna. CONSTITUTION:An external antenna 10 for reception of 2-branch diversity can be freely attached and detached. While another antenna 11 is set within a radio equipment. When the portable radio equipment is set under a calling state, both antennas 10 and 11 perform the diversity reception. Thus the transmission waves are radiated from one or both of the antennas 10 and 11. The antenna 10 is removed when the radio equipment is stored. In such a case, however, the reception is possible through the antenna 11.
