<p>The long flexible wiper blade of a windscreen wiper is supported at several points by curved intermediate yokes in turn attached to a main yoke which is mounted on the end of the drive arm. Each end of the main yoke is secured to the middle of the intermediate yoke by a resilient connection. This connection includes a resilient insert (36) mounted in a central hole (32) between the two sides (30) forming the structure of the intermediate yoke. Both the insert and the two sides are gripped between the sides (18) of the main yoke, which at the junction point, is of inverted U section. These sides (30) are inset into the sides of the insert, and the latter has a bulging top (38) which is gripped inside the stepped horizontal part of the U-section. The tips (22) of the U section are bent inwards to engage a slot (44) in the bottom of the insert.</p> |
