PURPOSE:To obtain a press formed product free from face distortion in press forming a metallic plate by heating a part in which defective face occurring wavily is apt to generate locally during forming, and at the same time, preventing heat radiation from the part of a die opposite to heating side. CONSTITUTION:Mostly flat forming and locally bulging, drawing, bending and combination of them are applied to a metallic plate 1 to be formed by female and male dies, i.e. a die 2 and a punch 4. A heating plate 8 having a built-in Nichrome wire heater 7 that heats a part of face distortion is elastically supported by, for instance, the die 2 to come in touch with the plate 1 from the initial stage of forming. On the other hand, the part of the punch 4 opposite to the part is made of heat insulating material such as ''Teflon'' 10 which is lower in heat conductivity. Or, a concave part 11 is provided in above-mentioned part of the punch 4, and heat is insulated by preventing contact of the plate 1 and punch 4. Or a local heating device 13 is provided in above-mentioned part of the punch 4. |
