PURPOSE:To enable mechanized operation and make operation efficient and to improve the operator's safety by mounting integrally a powder supplier, immersion nozzle exchanger and further a metallic fitting charger on a carriage on the counter operator side. CONSTITUTION:A powder supplier 7 is suspended to a traversing rail provided vertically to the side face of a carriage 5 on the operator side A. Powder is supplied over the entire width of a mold 1 from the top end of a powder supply arm on traversing of a frame. The frame of an immersion nozzle exchanger 8 uses commonly the traversing rail for the supplier 7. A fresh immersion nozzle 11 is preheated by a nozzle heater 10 and is transferred to a nozzle hanger in a retreat position. The exchanger 8 positions thereafter the nozzle hanger and the old immersion nozzle by traversing of the frame and the swiveling, extending and contracting of the arm, thereby taking off the old nozzle to the nozzle hanger. A metallic fitting charger 9 is installed to the carriage 5 and the arm is constituted laterally movably forward and backward from the take-off position up to the central position of the mold 1. |
