PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of a gap in the minimum gap part and prevent occurrence of a needle-like bur by providing a slant angle on a cutter. CONSTITUTION:An upper edge 2 is provided with a slant part of a bevel theta2 on a part of its face confronting a lower edge 2'. When the upper edge 2 turns counterclockwise and the lower edge 2' turns clockwise, under a condition where a shearing bus S3 is produced in the upper part of the rear end of a tip strip S2, the strip S2 is cut off and dropped separately from a strip S1 which is to become a product. Although the strip S1 is subsequently processed on a rolling mill, no damage is caused to the strip S1 and a work roll because they are already cleared from needle-like burs. |
