PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembly and adjustment by housing a thermal head pressing mechanism, winding/stopping mechanism for ink ribbons and the like between two base plates to compose a unit, which is placed on the carriage. CONSTITUTION:Members composing a winding/stopping mechanism for ink ribbons and a thermal head pressing mechanism, a timing belt and the like are assembled on a base plate 51 sequentially from bottom to top, covered with a base plate 53 and then, the base plate 54 is screwed down. The unit thus obtained is placed on a carriage 5 and screwed down. This facilitates the maintaining of necessary accuracy. |
