PURPOSE:To stably and accurately perform electric spark machining, by making a heat pipe of a wick and a working fluid and providing the heat pipe in a guide to stably guide a tape. CONSTITUTION:Throughout electric spark machining, a tape 4 is delivered from a reel 5 and moved at a prescribed tension and speed on a guide 1. At that time, frictional heat is generated between the tape 4 and the contact portion of the guide 1. A medium evaporated by the heat rises through the communication hole 12 of a support and is cooled in a condensing section 13 at the opposite end of the guide 1 so that the medium is liquefied. After that, the liquefied medium descends again to a heating section 11 through a wick 12a provided on the inside surface of the communication hole 12 of the support, so that the medium is heated and evaporated again to absorb the heat. This process repeated and evaporated agan to absorb the heat. This process repeats so that the heat is transferred to always stably guide the tape 4 in a cooled state. As a result, the electric spark machining is stably and accurately effected. |
