PURPOSE:To cut off a flexible long-sized singularly stepped work at a set dimentional position efficiently and neatly. CONSTITUTION:With the motor started and the main shaft rotated, a collet- operating shaft 41 engaged with the long-sized hole 44 of a hollow shaft 27 by means of an engaging pin 43 is rotated and simultaneously a nose-conical surface 42 presses and pushes the conical external surface 32 of the collet chuck 31 by a reciprocating operating plate 47 locked on a sliding shaft 51, and a smaller- diameter end part W1 or the work is placed on a lower circuit 1 in a state where the collet chuck 31 holds the peripheral external surface of the work W. With the work W loaded on the lower cutter 1, an upper cutter rotating in the direction opposite to the lower cutter 1 descends to the lower cutter 1 and cuts off the smaller-diameter end part W1 of the rotating flexible pipe placed on the lower cutter 1. |
