PURPOSE:To provide a printer capable of preventing a printing paper from being staggered or levitated and thereby contriving to enhance printing quality and improve in operability, wherein a platen is so constructed that the outside peripheries of both end brackets are knurled, and a slidable metallic piece of a lower paper bail is provided with a pawl to be engaged to the knurled part of the bracket. CONSTITUTION:A printing paper 4 is set on the surface 8 of the platen, the lower metallic paper bail 3 is pressed against the surface 8 along a lower part thereof to fix the paper 4, and simultaneously, a pawl part of the slidable metallic piece 2 is slidden in engagement with the knurled part of the bracket, thereby fixing it. Accordingly, printing quality can be prevented from being degraded due to staggering or levitation of the paper during printing. |
