PURPOSE:To absorb molten ash, boost the melting point of molten ash and prevent the corrosion of a boiler due to the burned ash by a method wherein an admixture, consisting of one kind or more of chemical compounds of Mg, CF and Al, is loaded into a vessel of combustible substance. CONSTITUTION:The vessel 1 is made of polyethylene or compressed paper having thickness of 1-2mm. and in case it is made of the paper, the vessel is coated with thin transparent resin 3 to prevent the impregnation of moisture thereinto. MgO, Mg(OH)2, MgCO3, CaO, Ca(OH)2, CaCO3, Al2O3 may be used as a high melting point chemical compound or one of these compound may be used under being mixed with non-porous or porous SiO2 or the like. This vessel is thrown onto the molten ash 13, stagnated at the bottom of a furnace, through a peep hole 12 provided on the combustion chamber wall 11 of the boiler. This vessel may be thrown into the furnace by loading it into a steel pipe and blowing off by compressed air. |
