PURPOSE:To smoothly supply a transfer tape and prevent the tape from being repeatedly used, by setting in a specified range the driving force of a motor for driving a take-up side reel for the transfer tape. CONSTITUTION:The driving force of the motor 15 is set to be larger than a force required for releasing an adhered thermal transfer tape 16 but smaller than a force required for staggering the tape 16 in the adhered condition. By passing an electric current to a thermal head 22, carbon on the tape 16 is transferred onto a paper set on a platen 23. A rule is drawn by moving the platen 23 in the direction of an arrow B while maintaining the heating condition of the head 22, and the tape 16 is supplied in synchronism with the platen 23. The tape 16 used for transfer is released from the paper and taken up by driving the motor 15. |
