PURPOSE:To make mold halves into a finish operation state in a short time and to improve workability by constituting base plates attached with members for supporting the mold halves in such a way that one thereof is made freely movable forward and backward with respect to the other. CONSTITUTION:Both supporting members 3, 103 are erected and the position of a movable base plate 102 is adjusted to open the space to enter a forming mold 5 consisting of a pair of mold halves 6 between the members 3 and 103. The mold 5 is inserted into said space and both halves 6 are secured respectively to the members 3, 103 by making the adjustment of the position of the plate 102, the adjustment of the erecting condition of the members 3, 103, etc. If there is an iconvenience such as failure in thorough and tight contact of the two halves 6 or the like, the plate 102 is retreated toward the left side and the members 3, 103 are laid down to position the halves 6 horizontal, thereby correcting and finishing butt surfaces 6a, etc. The mold 5 is thereafter finished by repeating the operation consisting of butting both halves 6 and checking the respective condition, etc. then opening the halves and correcting and finishing the same without making fine adjustment such as movement of adjusting screws 10, 110 or the like. |
