PURPOSE:To prevent a ribbon from being caught when fitting a cassette, by a method wherein a printing head is provided on the left side of a cassette, the cassette is fitted to a guide pin provided in proximity to a printing head and a positioning projection provided on the side opposite to the pin, and is positioned by engaging to a spring for pressing it forward. CONSTITUTION:A front face of a cassette casing 1 is provided with a recessed part 7 for receiving the printing head 6 on the left side thereof, and an opening 8 is provided in proximity to the recessed part 7. An opening 9 into which the positioning projection 21 of a carriage 13 is to be fitted is provided on the opposite side of the opening 8. The guide pin 18 to be fitted into the opening 8 is provided on the carriage 13 in proximity to the printing head 6. Accordingly, the cassette casing 1 can be accurately positioned on the carriage 13 in the state of being free of any chattering. |
