PURPOSE:To automate the entire machining of the bearing hole and back relieving portion of a workpiece on a machining table, by using a manufacturing equipment comprising a wire-cut spark erosion machine and a milling machine in combination. CONSTITUTION:A manufacturing equipment for a method of manufacturing an extrusion die is caused to perform machining in accordance with a prescribed program. For example, the manufacturing equipment is driven under numerical control. The program includes information on the form of a bearing hole 2 to be machined, the length of a bearing on the bearing surface 5 of the hole 2, the inclination angle of the back relieving slope 6 of a back relieving portion 3 and the quantity of cutting of a least cut portion 7. Calculations are performed on the basis of the information to determine the manner of the machining. Since the positional relation of the center of a milling cutter 22 and a wire electrode 12 is previously set, the entire machining can be automated. |
