Armoured mats for cross-country vehicles comprised of two link systems (6 and 7) with transverse straps (8) or cross-irons arranged in-between. Each transverse strap (8) is fastened onto its own link by its ends. The number of links is reduced due to the ends (12) of the transverse straps (8) being shaped so that each and every one functions as a link. The invention forms a stable armoured mat which is easy to assemble by opening the links (14) which unite the transverse straps (8) that after assemblage are closed through the splicing element (18) which is firmly welded (19 and 20) to the links (14).<IMAGE> |
