PURPOSE:To align automatically an image with the center of a copying paper by controlling a feed of the copying paper so that an image of an original is positioned in the center of its advance direcion or in an optical position on the copying paper by a copying paper size, an original size and a copying magnification, in case when the image of the original is copied to the copying paper whose size is larger than the original. CONSTITUTION:A control mode of a copying machine is switched to a magnification setting mode by operating a magnification setting mode switching key (94). In an ''automatic form selecting'' mode, a copying magnification is fixed, and from a size of an inserted original and its magnification, an optimum copying paper size is discriminated and a feed paper part is selected automatically, and a copying form is fed from the selected feed paper part. Also, in an ''automatic magnification selecting'' mode, a size of a copying form to be used is fixed, and from a size of an inserted original and its copying form size, a corresponding copying magnification is calculated, the copying magnification is calculated by a magnification setting mechanism, and a copying operation is executed by setting automatically the copying magnification by the magnification setting mechanism. In this way, a picture is positioned automatically in the center of a copying paper by controlling a feed of the copying paper so that an image of the original is positioned in the center of its advance direction or an optional position on the copying paper by a copying paper size, an original size and a copying magnification. |
