INSTALLATION OF METAL FITTINGS FOR HYDRAULIC CYLINDER

PURPOSE:To reduce covering material and reduce the weight by applying a thin steel pipe onto the slidable surface of a piston rod and a thin steel plate onto the upper part and the bottom part of a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Into a piston rod 2 which slides oiltightly in a cylinder 1, a spring 3 is installed with the upper part supported through a screw lever and the lower part supported through a supporting lever, and a rod cover 4 is screwed with the opened port part of the cylinder 1. A thin cylinder 5 made of steel is installed onto the slidable surface of the piston rod 2 and firmly attached by an adhesive. Similar covers 6 and 7 made of steel are attached through adhesive onto the upper part and the bottom part of the cylinder 1.
